Questions about MyCirCall

The things people ask most. Anything else, ask us.

About MyCirCall

What is MyCirCall?

MyCirCall is a UK mobile number, yours, that rings you and the people you trust at the same time. Give it to the school, the surgery, the care home: whoever might need to reach you urgently. When it's called, the first to answer and press 5 takes the call. If you can't get to the phone, someone who cares about you can.

Is MyCirCall an emergency service?

No. MyCirCall helps an important caller reach someone you trust. You can't use it to call 999 or 112, and it doesn't alert anyone on its own. In an emergency, always call 999 or 112.

Who runs MyCirCall?

Eridan One Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17304032), based in Gillingham, Kent. It was set up by Paul Fisher. More about us.

Is MyCirCall a second phone number?

Not really. A second number gives you another line to make and take your own calls. MyCirCall is a number for other people to reach you and the people you trust, all at once. You can't make calls from it, and it isn't a business line.

What if I hardly ever get a call?

That's what we expect, and it's the point. MyCirCall isn't a phone service you use every day. It's there for the calls that matter, on the days you can't afford to miss one. Weeks or months can go by with no call at all.

Who is it for?

Families, carers and anyone with someone to look out for: a parent living alone, a child at school, a relative in hospital. It's built for households, not businesses: it isn't a business line, a switchboard or a call centre.

Your CirCall

Do the people in my CirCall need an app?

No. They don't need an app, an account, or a subscription. Their phone simply rings like any other call. All they do is accept your invitation once.

How do people join?

You add them while you're on the phone to them. We text them a link, and you read out a 4-digit PIN. They open the link, enter the PIN and confirm their mobile with a code we text them. A landline is rung instead: they hear what they're agreeing to and type the PIN on the keypad.

Does my own phone ring too?

Yes, once you've confirmed your mobile number. It rings at the same time as everyone in your CirCall, and it doesn't take one of the places.

How many people can I have?

2 on Basic, 4 on Essential and 5 on Peace of Mind, plus your own phone. Peace of Mind also has a Backup CirCall of up to 3 more people, who ring if nobody has taken a call after 30 seconds.

What does someone in my CirCall see when it rings?

Your MyCirCall Number, which they can save with one tap so it shows a name they know. When they answer they hear "You have a MyCirCall. Press 5 to take it." Pressing 5 is how we know a person picked up, not a voicemail.

Can someone in my CirCall say they're away?

Yes. Anyone in a CirCall can open a free member account, signed into with a code we text them, and say they can't take calls for an hour, the rest of the day, or until a date. You'll see who's away, and everyone else still rings. If everyone is away, only your phone rings, and we'll let you know.

How does someone leave my CirCall?

Whenever they like: from the link in their invite text, by replying LEAVE to a text from your MyCirCall Number, by ringing us from their phone, from their member account, or by asking you. You're told by email.

When a call comes in

What happens if nobody answers?

We email you about the missed call, on every plan, and it shows in your call history. On Essential and Peace of Mind, everyone in your CirCall also gets a text, so somebody can ring back. On Peace of Mind, the caller can leave a voicemail of up to 2 minutes, which we email to you. We don't keep a copy.

Who can call my MyCirCall Number?

Anyone you give it to. Texts to your MyCirCall Number are passed on to your own phone, once you've confirmed your mobile number.

How do I know it still works?

You can test your CirCall once a month: press Ring my CirCall and every phone rings for real. We email you when your test is due, and tell you if someone's number seems to have stopped working.

Do you record calls?

No. We don't listen to or record calls. The only recording is a voicemail a caller chooses to leave on Peace of Mind, which we email to you and don't keep.

Paying and leaving

Can I try it before I pay?

Yes. Build your CirCall and press Ring my CirCall: every phone rings for real. You subscribe only once you've seen it work.

How much is it?

Basic £4.99, Essential £8.99 and Peace of Mind £12.99 a month, or ten times that a year: two months free, every year. No VAT is added. See the plans.

What is the launch offer?

When MyCirCall goes live, the first 100 people to choose a yearly plan get an extra 25% off their first year, so it costs the same as 7½ months. After that, another year is at the normal yearly price if you choose it; otherwise it carries on monthly. It opens at 9am on Sunday 1 November 2026, our launch, and stays open until the 100 places have gone, or until 1 January 2027 at the latest. The offer's terms.

Can I cancel?

A monthly plan, any time: it keeps working until the end of the month you've paid for, with no contract and no cancellation fee. A yearly plan is paid for 12 months; before it ends we'll ask whether you'd like another year, and if you don't, it carries on monthly. You can leave a yearly plan early with a month's notice and a refund for the rest of the year. In your first 14 days you can cancel either for a refund, less a charge for the days you've had the service.

Can I keep my number if I leave?

Yes. You can move your MyCirCall Number to another provider free of charge, while your subscription runs and for at least a month after it ends. Ask from your Billing page and we'll help.

MyCirCall is not an emergency service. In an emergency, always call 999 or 112.
